Tom is a UK-based researcher, writer and photographer with a particular interest in the Caucasus, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. From 2014 to 2022 he was based in Baku, Azerbaijan, working as a magazine editor and travel content creator while also pursuing travel and photography projects in his spare time. He holds a BA (Hons) in French and Russian from the University of Bristol and an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from the London College of Communication. His work is driven by long-term engagement with places, with his photography focusing largely on exploring local culture and everyday life.
