Tom is a UK-based researcher, writer, and photographer with a special interest in the Caucasus, Eastern Europe and Central Asia. From 2014 to 2022, he was based in Baku, Azerbaijan, where he worked as a magazine editor and travel content writer while also travelling and photographing extensively. He holds a BA (Hons) in French and Russian from the University of Bristol and an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography from the London College of Communication. His work is driven by long-term engagement with places, and his photography focuses more on conveying atmosphere, culture, and everyday life than narrative.
